Stanley Mutual in the Community
This summer was full of celebrations, and our team was proud to be part of it all! 🎉
🌿 We kicked off the season in May with the Fredericton Trail Clean-Up, helping keep our local trails safe and beautiful.
We celebrated Canada Day in Stanley with our mascot, Stella Moo-Tual, leading the fun.
🌲 We joined the Official NB Day Celebrations in Doaktown, connecting with neighbours from across the province.
🤝 We were proud sponsors of Harvey Community Days, cheering on community spirit.
🐄 We proudly sponsored the Napan Agricultural Show, supporting a tradition that celebrates farming and rural life.
🏡 Our team in Tabusintac joined in the fun at Old Home Week, a beloved local tradition. Agatha Savoie and Dianna Breau did an amazing job representing Angele Palmer.
📖 A big thank-you to Shawan Dorcas, who brought over a donation to Stanley Consolidated School on behalf of Stanley Mutual.
🎠 And of course, we took part in the Stanley Fair — a highlight of the summer we always look forward to. Shawna, Janelle, Loretta, Jillian, Melissa and Sheila (you might not have seen her but she was definitely there... hint hint) joined in on the fun and helped spread the Stanley Mutual spirit.
From trail clean-ups, parades, golf and school support, we’re grateful for every opportunity to celebrate and connect with our communities.
If you have an event that you think the Stanley Team could help with, don't hesitate to reach out! We love being out in the community. 💙

Don’t take our word for it, this is what our customers have to say... “Jodi was amazing. I could not believe how easy this was, compared to other insurance claims I have had to file out. I am very satisfied with the amount of time it took.”

Nature’s Lanterns: The Glowing Cranberry Bogs of New Brunswick
Did you know that some of New Brunswick’s cranberry bogs put on a secret autumn show each September? In the early mornings, sunlight hitting dew-covered cranberries and sphagnum moss can make the bogs shimmer in fiery reds and golds, like nature’s own lanterns!
This fleeting phenomenon is often missed, even by locals, but it’s one of those magical little surprises fall brings to our province. Visual Phenomenon: In September, during the cranberry harvest season (typically mid-September to early November), bogs are often flooded for wet harvesting, causing ripe cranberries to float on the water’s surface, creating a vibrant red carpet.
The interaction of early morning sunlight with dew on cranberries and the surrounding sphagnum moss—a common bog plant with pink and green hues—can indeed produce a glowing effect. The moss’s reflective quality and the cranberries’ glossy surface amplify this when hit by low-angle sunlight, creating a fiery, lantern-like shimmer. This is especially vivid in the fall when cranberries turn a rich red and the surrounding bog vegetation, like cotton grasses or heath plants, may add golden or reddish
tones.
New Brunswick’s bogs, like those on Miscou Island and Rogerville and scattered across Southeastern New Brunswick, are part of the Acadian Forest Region, where fall colors are especially vibrant. New Brunswick had approximately 25 cranberry farms with about 873 planted acres, making it the third-largest cranberry-producing province in Canada.
Have you ever captured this glowing display in a photo? We’d love to see it! Share your snapshots with us, and we’ll feature them on our social media to celebrate the beauty of NB. 📸 Submit your photos on our social media pages or by replying to this email.
